Hello! I’m a font and lettering designer, now turning my love of letters into jewelry. Whenever I tell people what I do for a living, they often ask how I arrived at this point. How does one become a font designer — and now a jewelry designer?
It all began with an early fascination for handwriting and calligraphy. That led to a career as a graphic designer. From there, lettering and graphic design merged into my next career: font design. I've published over 200 fonts from my hand lettering and sketches. Take a look at the fonts I've created here: LauraWorthingtonDesign.com
After spending decades creating letters in the two dimensional realm — on paper and screen — I wanted to explore what I could create with my lettering in physical form. The jewelry lines I've created either originated from a font I've designed or from hand lettering or sketches on paper.
I've collected letter and name jewelry since childhood and I've witnessed how much personal identity jewelry means to others. With the conviction that identity jewelry should be as special as those who wear it, I've combined my love of letters with jewelry to create these extraordinary and exclusive pieces. Each piece is unrivaled in meaning and distinct in presence — exactly like the one it adorns.
